How to Install r-recommended software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

r-recommended software package provides GNU R collection of recommended packages [metapackage], you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install r-recommended 

r-recommended is installed in your system.

Make ensure the r-recommended package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep r-recommended *

You will get with r-recommended package name, version, architecture and description in a table
